Speechless Transformation

As 2009 comes to close, we would like to take this time to remember an awesome wedding that took place in August. We were faced with a great challenge of transforming a church gymnasium into a modern, chic, urban night club in middle of the day. This is the thank you note we received …

“Paul and Alex,

We just wanted to thank you again for the amazing job you guys did on our wedding…Everyone at the wedding, us included, was completely blown away by how amazing it looked. I think my favorite comment was ‘I was in the room for at least 5 – 10 minutes before I realized it was a gym.’ The flowers, the reception, everything was defiantly a “WOW!” I’m fairly certain lost of our friends will be calling you when they start planning their weddings and events. You guys rock!

Mason & Nicole Wiseman”

We started by choosing a modern color combination of aqua and raspberry as our primary colors and then accented the wedding with chartreuse green. The ceremony took place at St. Paul United Method Church and took very little to improve the space. Two symmetrical, asymmetric arrangements framed the couple at the altar and create a stunning focal point. The bridesmaid’s vibrant fuchsia dresses were paired with green cymbidium orchids and the bride’s bouquet pulled everything together in the perfect shades of fuchsia, and of course everything was accented in just the right amount of aqua.

The reception was truly the speechless part. The entire gymnasiums was draped in white fabric and reach sixteen feet in the air and then back lit in a stunning aqua to provide the right mood for the reception. Large eight foot square tables covered in aqua floor length linens and accented with raspberry napkins created the perfect back drop for the ultra contemporary centerpieces. Each table featured a large glass vase accented with strands of Swarovski crystals, aqua wire, and a rich pink cymbidium orchid and was finished with custom twenty-four inch diameter lampshades and over sixty LED lights. An acrylic raiser and votive candles filled out the centerpiece and created the modern, chic feel that was requested. A modern club would not be complete without a lounge, so a white leather serpent couch with matching ottoman and glass end tables was the perfect complement to the raspberry lit bar.

So remember when planning your next event that anything is possible. Let you imagination run wild and make sure to find the right people to make your event … speechless!
